Terms of Use

1. The Service

SlavicToon is an online platform for reading digital comics (“webtoons”), available in several languages. Some content is free; some features or content may in the future require payment, as described in our Subscription Terms. We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of the Service at any time.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 14 years old to use the Service. If you are under the age of majority in your country, you may use the Service only with the consent of a parent or legal guardian, who accepts these Terms on your behalf. Certain content may be marked with an age rating; you must not access content rated above your age.

3. Accounts

When account registration becomes available, you are responsible for keeping your login details confidential and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate information and notify us at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized use. We may suspend or close accounts that breach these Terms.

4. Intellectual property

All comics, artwork, text, logos and other materials on the Service are owned by SlavicToon, its creators or licensors and are protected by copyright and other laws. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to read content on the Service for your own non-commercial use.

You must not copy, download (other than temporary caching by your browser), redistribute, translate, re-upload, scrape or otherwise exploit any content, or remove any copyright notices, without our prior written consent.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• break the law or infringe anyone’s rights while using the Service;
• use bots, scrapers or other automated means to access or collect content;
• interfere with the security or operation of the Service, or try to bypass access restrictions;
• post or send content that is illegal, hateful, harassing, sexually exploitative of minors, or spam;
• impersonate any person or misrepresent your affiliation with anyone.

6. User content

If you post comments or other content, you keep ownership of it but grant SlavicToon a worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display and distribute it as part of the Service. You are responsible for what you post. We may remove content and restrict accounts in line with our Moderation Policy.

7. Copyright complaints

If you believe content on the Service infringes your rights, email [email protected] with: your contact details, the work you own, the URL of the infringing content, and a statement that the information is accurate and that you are the rights holder or authorised to act for them. We will review the notice and remove infringing content promptly.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent permitted by law, we make no warranties that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or meet your expectations. Nothing in these Terms limits your rights as a consumer under mandatory law.

9. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, SlavicToon is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, loss of data or loss of profits arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or EUR 50 if you paid nothing. We do not exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the new version on this page with a new “last updated” date and, for significant changes, give reasonable notice. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept them.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Cyprus. Disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Cyprus, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence.
